mix beef and pork together with uncooked rice, onion and salt and pepper. make meatballs with mixture. wrap each meatball in a cabbage leaf. Layer 1 can sauerkraut in bottom of dutch oven. place cabbage rolls on bed of kraut. layer second can kraut over cabbage rolls. add enough water to cover. Cook in 400 degree oven for 2 hours checking about every 30 min to make sure it isnt dry, add water during cooking to keep covered.
