What Are The Ingredients For Jumbo Stuffed Shells Recipe?

The ingredients for Jumbo Stuffed Shells are:

Can substitute beef with pork, sausage, ground turkey, or even go vegetarian with it if you like. Crushed garlic pre-packaged is good but if you want the best flavor crush 2 cloves fresh. I choose to use block cheese instead of pre-shredded cheese for the same reason. To save on sodium, you could use low/no sodium V8 tomato/vegetable juice and can sub for Rotel with your own tomatos and chiles blend. I have to use two baking dishes to make my 30 servings, but if you're lucky enough to stretch the cheese mixture, you could make more. And the standard box of Jumbo shells usually leaves you about 15-20 extra cooked shells unused, so stretching the cheese mixture is very possible.

How Do I Make Jumbo Stuffed Shells?

Here is how you make Jumbo Stuffed Shells:

Start a pot of water boiling, start warming a skillet on medium-high heat. Pour ricotta cheese into a large mixing bowl and shred 8 oz of mozarella cheese. Mix mozarella with ricotta cheese in large bowl and set aside. When water comes to a bowl, pour box of shells in and your skillet should be hot enough to start browning your beef. When you are browning your meat, break it up to the sizes you would like when eating normally, either bite size or larger is personal preference. When the shells have finished cooking, take the pot off and drain shells. To expedite the stuffing process, spray with cold water and rinse the shells. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. The meat should be done browning at this point, so take the skillet off the heat, and pour in Rotel and Contadina cans. Mix meat and tomato well. Take shells and a large spoon, and one at a time fill shells with cheese mixture and place in a baking dish. When finished stuffing shells, use a large serving spoon and cover stuffed shells with meat mixture.Cook pan of covered shells for 20 minutes on 350 degrees, let stand for 10 minutes, and enjoy!
