I love my taco nights at home! I wanted to make a healthier recipe for a traditional taco meat filling, and this is what I came up with! What Are The Ingredients For Healthier Taco Filling Recipe?The ingredients for Healthier Taco Filling are: 2.5 lbs of 93/7 lean ground beef.2 packages, Taco Bell Home Originals, Taco Seasoning Mix 3 Tsp Ground Cumin (optional, but I like it) 1 or 2 Garlic Cloves, peeled and minced 1-2 White/Yellow Onions, chopped Spatula to flip/toss/chop the cooking ground beef mixture How Do I Make Healthier Taco Filling?Here is how you make Healthier Taco Filling: Heat a medium-large skillet (i use non-stick) over medium-high heat. Do not grease. 1. In a skillet, add lean ground beef. I break it up with my fingers as I am putting in the pan. 2. As the beef starts to simmer, sprinkler and cover the beef with taco bell seasoning, cumin, and garlic clove. 3. With a Spatula, Mix and Chop ingredients together in skillet. 4. Cover with a lid, and let simmer on medium heat, for about 4 minutes. 5. After the beef is mostly brown on the bottom, flip with spatula, and chop after. 6. Add the Chopped Onions, and cover again, cook until the onions are translucent and meat is browned. I like my meat more cooked, so I leave it on the stove-top longer, still stirring/chopping it. Then Voila, A Healthier Taco Filling!
