What Are The Ingredients For Bacon Veggie Quiche Recipe?The ingredients for Bacon Veggie Quiche are: 5 large eggs1/2 c whole milk 1/2 c 1% milk 4 oz colbyjack cheese 2 Tbsp grated parmesan 2 Tbsp sour cream 1 Tbsp parsely flakes 1-1/2 tsp spicy brown mustard salt and pepper to taste 1 Tbsp olive oil 1/2 c onion, chopped 1/2 c zucchini, chopped 1/2 bag fresh spinach salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste 4 slices bacon, cooked and diced 9-inch pie crust How Do I Make Bacon Veggie Quiche?Here is how you make Bacon Veggie Quiche: Preheat oven to 375. Saute onion and zucchini in olive oil for 7-10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste (I use about 1/4 tsp each). When just about done, put in fresh spinach to wilt for a few minutes. Stir in cooked/diced bacon. In a large bowl, whisk eggs and milk together (You can use nonfat milk to reduce calories/fat, but it does not taste as good. I used half whole and half 1% because that's what I had. I'd use 1 c 2%, alternatively - 1 c 1% might be OK). Stir in cheeses, parsely, sour cream, and mustard. Salt and pepper to taste (I use about 1/4 tsp each). Press pie crust (I use Pillsbury ready made refrigerator crusts) into a *deep dish* pie plate. This will be too much for a regular pie plate. Spoon veggie/bacon mixture into crust (no need to blind bake the crust), then pour egg mixture over. Very gently stir with a spatula to make sure everything combines evenly...make sure to not poke through the bottom of the pie crust.Bake about 30 min or until lightly browned and bubbly. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving; this is much better warm, not hot. Makes 8 small servings. To reheat, please use the oven as this does NOT reheat well in the microwave, it gets rubbery.
