Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Prepare 2-piece tube pan by greasing with 1tsp. shortening and dusting with flour. 3. Mix cake ingredients except boiling water in mixing bowl until just combined. Slowly and carefully pour boiling water into mixing bowl while mixer is running. Mix for shortest amount of time possible to completely incorporate the water.4. Pour batter into prepared tube pan, leveling batter. 5. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cake slightly pulls from pan edge. 6.
