Here is how you make Banana Walnut Peasant Bread:

Whisk together dry ingredients. Mash bananas, add warm water and vanilla and stir together. Pour wet ingredients into dry, and stir together until it makes a cohesive, but thick "batter" or dough. Cover with warm moist towel and leave in a warm place to rise for an hour, or until at least doubled in size.Use two forks to "punch down" the dough by scraping it down the sides and onto itself as you turn the bowl.
