Makes 16 Slices1 Slice/ServingPreheat oven to 350 and grease a loaf pan.In a small bowl, mash bananas and mix w/ buttermilk and set aside. In a large bowl, cream together brown sugar and margarine until smooth. Add egg and beat until combined. Then add banana and buttermilk mixture and beat until combined. Next sift together dry ingredients and add all at once to the liquid ingredients and beat until combined. If adding pecans, gently mix them in now. Pour mixture into greased loaf pan and spread top to make even for consistent baking. Bake 50-60 min, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
