Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray with cooking spray, a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Sift flour, baking powder and salt, set aside. In medium bowl with portable electric mixer or wooden spoon, beat sugar, butter and egg until smooth. Add bananas and milk, mixing well. Add flour and mix until just smooth. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake about an hour, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let sit for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
