1 c mashed ripe banana (= 2 large bananas)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbl melted butter
1/3 c brown sugar
1/2 c raisins
1/2 c walnuts (optional -- if omitted, recipe makes 12 mufins)

Here is how you make Banana Shredded Wheat Muffins w/raisins and nuts:

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix flour, baking powder, and slat in a large bowl. Mix cereal and milk in a bowl or plastic container; let sit 5 minutes. Mash or puree the banana (I used a food processor, but a blender would make short work of this, too.) Stir in eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla. Add cereal-milk mixture and banana mixture to flour mixture, stir until just moistened. Spoon batter into a muffin tin lined with cupcake papers or sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
