Give a good stir with a wire whisk. Add the buttermilk and egg beaters and stir until just moistened. Turn out onto a work surface that has been generously floured and knead gently 8 - 10 times. Dough will be sticky. Shape the dough into a 7 inch round and place it on a cookie sheet that has parchment paper on it. Dust the top with a small amount of flour and cut a 4 inch X into the top (cutting about a 1/2 inch deep). Bake at 400 degrees F until the the bread splits open at the X and makes a hollow sound when the underside is tapped, about 25 - 30 minutes.
