In shallow bowl (I use a pie plate) whisk egg slightly, add1 tsp packed brown sugar and continue to whisk. Add vanilla and milk.Heat pan, dip bread into mix and add to pan without over crowding. Turn when bread has browned. Keep bread warm if cooking for a crowd.
