Slice Challah into slices 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Mix egg, vanilla, cinnamon & nutmeg in a shallow bowl suitable for dipping slices (which tend to be wide). Dip slices on each side until mostly saturated with mixture. Cook slices on cook-top or in pan for 3-5 minutes (less with gas stove) per side or until golden brown. Serves 4-5.
