1 cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 cup Canola Oil
1/2 cup slices (1" dia) Ginger Root
16 fl oz Water, tap


How Do I Make Ginger Granola?

Here is how you make Ginger Granola:

FOR THE SYRUP1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In saucepan bring water to boil.2. Meanwhile peel ginger root and chop into 1/2 inch slices. Add to boiling water, reduce heat to low and simmer until water is reduced in half to 8 oz.3. Remove Ginger root pieces from water.4. Add Sugar and stir until dissolved. As soon as sugar dissolves remove pan from heat. Do not boil syrup!FOR THE GRANOLA1. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl.2. Combine syrup, and oil and pour over dry ingredients. Mix well until dry ingredients are covered with the Ginger syrup.3. Prepare cookie sheet by covering with parchment paper.4. Spread flat 3 cups of Oat mix on cookie sheet.5. Place sheet in middle of 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. 6. After 15 minutes stir Oat mix, flatten out again and place back in oven for additional 10 minutes. 7.
