How Do I Make Maple Stewed Prunes?

Here is how you make Maple Stewed Prunes:

Add prunes and water to small pot and set on a medium heat and cook til the prunes plump and soften, stiring occasionally until they start to break up or "goo." This should be about the time the water is mostly gone. Don't let them stick, add little amounts of water (tablespoon or so) until they resemble more of prune jam than solid prunes. When they reach that point, turn off the burner and add the maple syrup. Stir in and let cool, spoon on top of old fashioned oatmeal for a healthy breakfast with a hint of maple.
