Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.If using fresh blueberries, wash and dry them. If using frozen, do not thaw them.In a small bowl combine the oats and buttermilk and let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes.In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix with a fork to blend and set aside.In a large bowl beat the egg, applesauce, and brown sugar briskly for about a minute.Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir just to combine.
