You're going to need two large pots, one for each of the oatmeal's you are about to make.Measure ingredients for each oatmeal batch and pore water into each pot to heat - 9 cups of water for the quick oats and 6 cups of water for the steel cut oats.Quick OatsYou'll need 4 cups of quick oats, and 1 tsp salt for the quick oats plus the 9 cups of water once it's boiled. Add the oats and salt to the water when it's boiling and then simmer for 5 minutes stirring frequently.Steel Cut OatsMeasure 2 cups of Steel cut oats and 1 tsp salt and add them to the 6 cups of water once it's boiling.
