Here is how you make Aunt Cathy's Industrial Strength Oatmeal Recipe:

Put about 1 quart of water into a big heavy pot. Add raisins and almonds. Bring to a boil. Add all of the grains together in a bowl and dump in all at the same time. If you don't do this you will need to add the oat bran by itself, stirring it a bit at a time. Add the rest of the ingredients. Bring back to a boil on low or medium and stir and cook it as long as it says on the stone ground oats package.
