This is my basic oatmeal recipe to which I add fresh fruit, just before adding the oats, such two chopped apples, two cups chopped strawberries, two small chopped pears, - just remember to add the NI for the fresh fruit. What Are The Ingredients For MommaGrizz's Basic Oatmeal Recipe?The ingredients for MommaGrizz's Basic Oatmeal are: 5 cups of cold water1 TB vanilla extract 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp ground nutmeg 1/4 cup raisins 1/4 dried mixed fruit (chopped) 3 1/2 cups Rogers Porridge Oats with Oat Bran, Wheat Bran and Flaxseed 6 tsp of Becel margarine 6 tsp of Splenda Brown Sugar Blend How Do I Make MommaGrizz's Basic Oatmeal?Here is how you make MommaGrizz's Basic Oatmeal: Makes 6 servingsIn a large pot add 5 cups of water, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins and chopped dried fruit. On low heat, steep until the dried fruit becomes plump.***this is where I add the fresh chopped fruit that I've chosen, but don't forget to add in the NI for it*****Add 3 1/2 cups of Rogers Oats, stir and let cook to desired doneness.Dish out into 6 storage containers, to each (while hot), add 1 tsp of Becel Margarine and 1 tsp of Splenda Brown Sugar blend. When cool, snap the lids on and store in the fridge. (or serve all 6 while hot).Great get up and go breakfast. I take it to work - chop it up in the container, microwave for 1 minute, then stir and microwave for 45 seconds.
