Lightly oil a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.In a food processor or large bowl, pulse or whisk together the flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom and salt. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.Beat the eggs with the buttermilk. Stir the egg mixture into the flour mixture until moistened. Add more buttermilk if the dough is too dry.Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 5 or 6 times. Pat the dough into a 1/2-inch thick round, brush with milk or melted butter, and cut into 6 or 8 wedges. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.Place the scones on the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack and serve warm or at room temperature. Makes 6-8 scones.***NOTE*** I rolled the dough out to 3/8" thickness and cut into 24 triangles which comes out to 1/4 serving of the regular size.
