Vega Chocolate Breakfast Smoothie

Lately I've noticed that I've been unsuccessful with my diet because of my major chocolate cravings. I could tear through a large bag of peanut butter M&M's in a day. I don't even want to know how many calories that was. To help keep my chocolate cravings at bay, I created this smoothie recipe. I have one every morning and it's really helped to curb my appetite for sweets. If you've never used Vega before you may want to add a little bit of sweetener (I originally used Agave Nectar but Honey will do as well) and a little bit of Cocoa powder. Taste the smoothie before adding these though because the sweetener will add more calories. Enjoy!

How Do I Make Vega Chocolate Breakfast Smoothie?

Here is how you make Vega Chocolate Breakfast Smoothie:

Makes 1 24oz smoothieBreak up the banana into smaller pieces and place in your blender. Add the soymilk and the ice and blend. Once it's blended start adding the vega in, one scoop at a time. (I typically add it in while it's blending because the powder will stick to the sides. If you add it in during a blending cycle you won't have that problem.) Now you are ready to taste. If it tastes good, serve it up. If it tastes like it needs some help, add a little bit of cocoa powder and sweetener until it's just right. Another note: technically you could use any type of chocolate milk you prefer, regular milk, soy milk, rice milk, almond milk whatever you have in your fridge will do it will just change the nutritional content some. Also, if the smoothie is too big for you: you could freeze the banana and use one less cup of ice. Number of Servings: 1Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user APRILRMULLINS.
