We came up with this recipe our first time playing with the new waffle maker Rob bought me! I just started throwing what I could remember my Hippie Mama or her friends putting in waffle and/or pancake batter as a child. Sometimes they would put in some new buzz healthy grain or milled seed of some sort. Sometimes it would be berries we'd all walked around the woods picking or nuts that were in season. Almost always they are topped with fruit, whipped cream, nuts, maple syrup, honey, molasses or peanut butter. Our goofy title owes its origin to my Hubby, Rob and I laughing and trying to remember Donkey's quote on the movie Shrek about "I'm making waffles!!!" and me telling him how I made them as we discussed my culinary experiment while having brunch one day before going on a walk before work.

Pour 1/2 cup batter on one half of two waffle waffle maker or one quarter of a four waffle waffle maker and cook until browned. About 3-5 mins.
