*Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, calcium-fortified, .20 cup

CARL BUDDIG, Smoked Sliced Beef, 2 packages
Salt and Pepper to taste


How Do I Make Chip Beef gravy?

Here is how you make Chip Beef gravy:

Place margarine in a large skillet on med heat. Let margarine melt, add about 3 tbsp flour to make a rue. Let cook for a 1 or so stir constantly. Then whisk in half the milk so it gets completely incorporated with the flour mixture. Cut up the dried beef so it is in 1/2" squares, then add to the mixture while it is coming up to a boil. It will thicken quickly. When it starts getting very thick start adding the rest of the milk. Whisk it while it is heat up again. When it reaches the your desired thickness it is done. If it is too thick, thin it more with a little water but not too much.Serving size is about 1/4 cup.I love this served on toast or mashed potatoes.Number of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user VARINIA.
