3 Tbsp reduced-fat margarine
3 Tbsp whole-wheat flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup non-fat milk


How Do I Make Whole Wheat Mac and Swiss Cheese?

Here is how you make Whole Wheat Mac and Swiss Cheese:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Cook, drain, rinse macaroni and set aside in greased 9 x 13 pan.Prepare medium white sauce by melting margarine over low heat. Remove from heat and add milk. Stir in dry ingredients. Return to heat and bring to boil. Add 3/4 cup cheese to create cheese sauce and let bubble for 5-10 minutes. Mix cheese sauce with macaroni and fill greased 9 x 13 pan. Add salt & pepper to taste. Top with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese. Pour remaining cup of milk over casserole. Cook uncovered for one hour until brown and crusty on top.Makes 12 servings.
