Here is how you make Dad's Cinnamon Rolls:

First mix cinnamon and brown sugar together.In another bowl put the first 4 ingredients, mix these together to blend.Add the shortening to the dry ingredients and blend till it is an oatmeal consistency. I use my fingers for this. Then make a well in the middle and add the milk.stir this till it forms a ball.Dust the counter with flour and roll out to about 1/4 inch thick. Now spread the butter over the top of this and sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture over this. Roll this all up into a tube and then cut into 18 equal parts.Put on baking sheet and bake on the middle rack of oven at 375 for 15 - 20 minutes. My oven cooks them in 17 minutes.
