2/3 C. Dried Berry Blend
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. + 3 Tbls whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
4 tbls Butter
2 tbls brown sugar


How Do I Make Oatmeal Scones?

Here is how you make Oatmeal Scones:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Soak dried fruit in hot water for 15 min. While soaking beat egg, add milk and stir. Add oatmeal to mixture- do not stir. Soak oatmeal for 10 min. while soaking, stir together dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Drain fruit. Stir together fruit and oatmeal mix. Fold dry mix into oatmeal mix. Do not over stir. Turn onto floured surface. Pat until 1 in. thick. Cut into 6 wedges. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20-30 min. Or, drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 min.
