24 saltine crackers, rolled fine
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 cup chopped nuts (otional)

How Do I Make Amish Fudge?

Here is how you make Amish Fudge:

Makes approximately 30 servings (depends on how you cut).Lightly butter square cake pan. Combine chocolate chips, crackers (rolled fine), vanilla and nuts in large mixing bowl. In sauce pan combine milk and sugar. Bring to rolling boil. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour into dry mixture and stir to combine all ingredients well. Pour into cake pan and let cool. Fudge will set while cooling. Consistency of fudge will vary depending on what type of chips you use, I have made with milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chips, butterscotch chips and peanut butter chips, all with good results.
