A delicious,nutritious dessert that never seems to stick around after I make it--always gets devoured. We like it tart, but if you want it sweeter, add more stevia or the sweetener of your choice. Maple syrup is amazing in it, but I try to cut the calories as much as possible. I've also made this with raisins and pecans instead of almonds. What Are The Ingredients For Apple Pieless Recipe?The ingredients for Apple Pieless are: 6 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and rough sliced about 1inch square 1/8 inch thick.3/4 cup sliced almonds 1 cup orange juice 1/4 cup lemon juice 4 stevia packets or equivalent no-cal sweetener of your choice (You can use, honey, white or brown sugar, or maple syrup instead of stevia, but it GREATLY increases the calories) 3 packets plain oatmeal (or equivalent not in packets) 1 Tbsp Molly McButter (Again, you can use real butter, if you don't mind the added fat and calories) 2 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice (that's if you like the strong flavor--use less if you don't. Also, if you don't have PPS, you can sub plain cinnamon with a couple of pinches of nutmeg, ginger, and allspice) How Do I Make Apple Pieless?Here is how you make Apple Pieless: Preheat oven to 400. Peel, core, and roughly slice 6 medium Granny Smith apples. Slices should be not much bigger than 1" x 1" square and 1/8" thick. Put slice apples in a big mixing bowl, and to that mixing bowl, add the orange juice, lemon juice, stevia, PPS, sliced almonds, and 1 packet of dry oatmeal. Stir well. Spray or lightly grease a pie pan. Take the two remaining packets of oatmeal, and sprinkle them across the bottom of your pie pan so that it is evenly, thinly coated with oat meal--it's good if it gets on the sides (inside) of the pan too. Then dump your apple mixture into the pan, and spread it evenly. If your apples weren't too big, it should just fill the pan. Loosely cover with aluminum foil (you can spray the foil so it doesn't stick, but if you cover it loosely, like a little tent, it shouldn't. Bake for about an hour or until the apples are nice and soft. If you want the top to get a bit brown and crispy, you can take the foil off for the last 10 minutes or so of baking.
