Combine walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon zest in a large bowl.Place one sheet of phyllo dough on the bottom of the pan and brush the top with melted butter. Place another sheet of dough on that and brush with melted butter. Keep adding sheets until the bottom is 8 sheets thick.Sprinkle with 1 cup walnut mixture.Cover with 4 sheets of dough, buttered as before.Sprinkle with 1 cup of walnut mixture.Continue in established pattern until the walnuts are used up.
