When my family and I decided to make a lifestyle change and eat healthier, I just couldn't bring myself to relinquish this treat completely, so I adapted my oma's banana cake/bread (some call it cake, some call it bread) recipe to make it low fat and lower calorie and it tastes just as delicious! IMPORTANT NOTE: Because this recipe uses applesauce instead of butter (drastically reduces fat) it should be refridgerated so that it will keep longer (not sure why, but true)
