Here is how you make Light and Flavorful Banana Bread:

Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Grease an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.In a large bowl, stir together flour, splenda baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. In another bowl beat egg well, add bananas and applesauce and mix together. Blend wet ingredients into flour and spices until mixed. Spread batter into loaf pan. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.Bake in preheated oven for 40 - 50 minutes, until top is lightly browned and a toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean. Run a butter knife around edges to loosen and allow to cool in pan about 5 minutes. Turn out onto wire rack and allow to cool slightly before slicing. May be served warm or cold.
