Here is how you make Banana Chocolate Chip Whole Wheat Flax Muffins:

Preheat oven to 350. Whisk together your dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir together in a separate bowl the mashed bananas, vanilla, egg, milk, yogurt, and oil. Make a hole in the center of your dry mix. Spoon the wet mix into the hole, and dump in the semi-sweet chips. Fold in LIGHTLY, about 20 strokes. It may look like there are still dry-mix only areas, but that is ok. It will bake together and your muffins won't turn out tough. Scoop spoonfuls with an ice cream scoop into muffin tins. Mix together the wheat germ and 1 tbs sugar, and top the muffins with it. Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool for one minute, then turn out muffins onto a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
