3/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Here is how you make Better Banana Bread with Dark Chocolate Chips:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two 9 inch loaf pans with Pam Baking spray.Mix flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Create a small well in middle. Set aside.In another bowl, mash the bananas with the cinnamon and cloves. In a medium bowl, cream sugar, Smart Balance buttery spread with the eggs. Mix in banana and applesauce. Stir until well combined. Add the banana+applesauce mix gradually into the flour mix. Mix well. Add chocolate chips (if desired). Split into two pans and sprinkle tops with sugar/cinnamon mix (if desired). Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until top is browned and springs back to touch.
