How Do I Make Reduced Calorie Banana Pudding?

Here is how you make Reduced Calorie Banana Pudding:

Make custard by whisking egg yolks in a medium saucepan. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, salt, sugar, and Splenda, making sure to break up any lumps. Over medium heat, add the dry mixture to the beaten egg yolks, alternating with the milk, stirring with a whisk the entire time. Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Beat in vanilla.Line 8 x 8 inch pan with 1/3 of the Nilla wafers. Cut bananas into disks and layer 1/3 of them over the wafers. Cover with 1/3 of the custard. Repeat layers twice more, ending with custard. I serve with a dab of Cool Whip Free since I don't like meringue. If you must have meringue, Beat 4 egg whites at high speed until they form soft peaks. Add 1/4 t. cream of tartar. At high speed, gradually add 5 T. sugar, a tablespoon at a time, and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold 1/2 t. vanilla into the meringue, and spread the meringue over the pudding, sealing it at the sides of the dish.
