What Are The Ingredients For Berry Newtons Recipe?The ingredients for Berry Newtons are: Dough:1/2C butter (I used 1/2 promise and 1/2 light butter) 1/4 C Brown Sugar 2 large egg whites 1/2t Vanilla 1.5C Whole Wheat Flour 1/4C Flax Seed Meal (ground flax) 1/2t Cinnamon 1T water Filling: 1T c&h light stevia sugar blend 1T sugar 1C Blueberries 1C Strawberries 2t Cornstarch 1t water How Do I Make Berry Newtons?Here is how you make Berry Newtons: For the dough: beat butter and sugar until combined. Add egg whites, vanilla, and water until well-mixed, then add flour, flax, cinnamon and beat until it all comes together. Form the dough into a rectangle, wrap in plastic, and chill in the fridge for ~2-3 hours.For the filling, combine berries and sugar in medium saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Mash berries. Let simmer ~20 minutes. In separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and water. Add to berry mixture and stir until it reaches desired thickness (like jam). Preheat Oven to 350.To assemble: Roll out dough on floured surface or between 2 sheets of wax paper into a 12"x16" rectangle. Cut into 4- 4x12" strips. Spread 1/4 of the jam down the center of each. Fold dough over the jam and pinch together. Cut into ~1-2" cookies and place on greased baking sheet.
