Melt Smart Balance sticks; add sugar and continue to cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until mixture becomes the color of a piece of caramel.Remove from heat and add 2 oz. slivered almonds. Pour out onto greased/buttered flat cookie sheet. Spread to the edges of the cookie sheet. Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Allow to soften a little, then spread to cover. Sprinkly remaining 2 oz. slivered almonds over the top.Refrigerate until chocolate is set. Break into pieces (about 1"x2".
