1 cup nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds)

1. Cream the butter and sugar, then add the remaining wet ingredients (egg, applesauce, extract).2. Slowly begin to add the dry ingredients, mix well3. Fold in apples and nuts (batter will be a bit thick)4. Place batter into a 9 inch cake pan ([prepare with nonstick spray)5. Place cake in a preheated 350* oven6. Bake for 40 mins.Notes - In my oven (which is not the best) the center is always a little undercooked which is what I like.
