Here is how you make Ethel's Easy Apple Cake:

Preheat oven to 350. Use greased 10 inch tube pan.Mix topping of 1/2 C sugar, cinnamon and chopped nuts and set aside. Combine cake mix, vanilla pudding and eggs. Pour in cream and oil. Beat 5 minutes (important to beat for full time.) Pour half into pan. Arrange enough apple slices to cover. Sprinkle with half of topping mix. Pour in remainder of batter. Arrnage apple slices to cover. Sprinkle with remaining topping. Bake for 1 hour. Let cool in pan for 30 minutes.
