1 cup cake flour
1 1/2 cups egg whites
1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond
1/4 tsp salt

Here is how you make Heavenly Angel Food Cake:

1. Move oven rack to lowest position. Heat oven to 375 degrees.2. Mix powdered sugar and flour in a medium bowl, set aside. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar on medium speed until foamy. Beat in granulated sugar, 2 tbsp at a time, on high speed, adding vanilla and almond and salt with the last addition of sugar. Continue beating until stiff and glossy meringue forms. Do not underbeat. 3. Sprinkle sugar-flour mixture, 1/4 cup at time, over meringue, folding in until flour-sugar mix just disappears. Do NOT over mix. Push the batter into a tube pan, ungreased. Cut gently thru batter with a metal spatula.4. Bake 30-35 minutes or until cracks feel dry and top springs back when touched lightly. Immediately turn pan upside down onto heatproof funnel or bottle.
