Brandied Fruit Cake - brandied fruit jar must be maintained. Starter consists of 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained; 1 cup canned peaches (chopped), drained; 1 cup marachino cherries (halved), drained; 1 cup peach brandy; 1 cup sugar.Every two weeks 1 cup of drained fruit and 1 cup of sugar must be added and stir well. Always add in order of peaches, pineapple and cherries. No metal utensils. Must be kept in a non-sealed glass container located in a warm non-drafty location, using only wooden spoons or plastic spoons to stir. Starters may be taken from this jar after jar one time reaches 3 cups of fruit. Remove starter just before adding fruit and sugar.
