1 1/2 cup of milk (1%)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
ground cinnamon or nutmeg


How Do I Make Personal Caramel Flan?

Here is how you make Personal Caramel Flan:

Caramelize 1/3 cup sugar in a skillet on med-high heat. (shake the pan to spread out sugar..DO NOT stir) Once it starts to melt cook on low for about 5 min. Stir as needed with a wooden spoon. Once sugar is golden divide among 4 custard cup. enough to coat the bottom of each cup...let stand about 10 min.Meanwhile combine eggs, milk, remaining sugar and vanilla. Mix until well combined..careful not to make it foamy. Place batter into custard cups. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Place in pan and surround cups 1 inch of hot water. Bake at 325 for 30 -45 min. or till a knife comes out clean when inserted in the middle. Cool completely and chill before serving. To serve...loosen custard from cup by running a knife along the outer edge.
