In mixer beat on high speed until smooth and creamy:
4 oz Cream Cheese
.25 cup Butter, unsalted

Add and beat on low speed for 30 seconds:
1.5 cup, unsifted Powdered Sugar
.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 dash Salt

Switch to high speed and beat for 2 minutes.
