Here is how you make L.R. chocolate chip cookies:

Grind the oat bran in a blender,food processor or better yet, a coffee grinder until as fine as possible. Transfer to a medium bowl and stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with a mixer until fluffy. On low speed and egg and vanilla and beat just to mix. Stir in dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by cookie scoopfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for about 8 minutes or until just set.
