A very easy Romanian recipe of homemade chocolate. You can substitute raisins with peanuts or add peanuts or other dried fruit you'd like in your chocolate.It is best after at least 24 hours "spent" in the fridge and has a "softer" and "stickier" consistency than bought chocolate. For "harder" chocolate, add more dry milk.

*Instant Nonfat Dry Milk, 0.67 cup
*Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, 50 grams
*Organic cane sugar, 30 tsp
*Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
*Raisins, 80 grams
*Instant Coffee, 2 Tbsp
*Water, 1/4 cup


How Do I Make Homemade Chocolate?

Here is how you make Homemade Chocolate:

1. Mix well milk, cocoa, instant coffee and margarine until it become pretty homogeneous.2. Boil a syrup of sugar, vanilla extract and water for about 10-15 minutes until all sugar is dissolved. After slightly cooled, syrup is poured over the cocoa mixture little by little and well mixed. 3. Add raisins.4. Keep tray (I used a square 9X9 tray) in the freezer while you do everything else. After step 3, spray with PAM. Fill tray and place in the fridge for a few hours (24 hours is best, but I couldn't resist more than about 6 lol). 5. Cut in 16 squares.
