How Do I Make Chocolate/Strawberry Frozen Pops?

Here is how you make Chocolate/Strawberry Frozen Pops:

1. Take 2 pints of whole fresh strawberries. Cut off the tops. 2. Cut each berry in half and cut out the center (the whitish part) leaving only the reddest portions of the berry. 3. Weigh out approximately 1 pound of the cut berries. If you haven't already done so, wash the berries at this time. 4. In a blender or mixer (I have one of the magic bullets and it works fine) put the berries and pulse until they are pretty much pureed, but it is nice to have a few larger chunks of the fruit in the puree. 5. Add in packets of Splenda to taste. (I use 3 packets of the Splenda with Fiber, because...why not?) 6. Take your Popsicle mold (mine makes 4 pops, but you can use dixie cups or whatever you have). In the bottom of each individual pop, add a 1/4 inch or so of the chocolate syrup. This step can be skipped if you don't like chocolate. Obviously, if you use regular chocolate syrup, you have to add those calories, since the brand I use has no calories (it's actually not bad). 7. Pour the strawberry/splenda mixture into the mold leaving about 1/2 inch at the top. 8. Again, if you like, top it off with more of the chocolate syrup. 9. My mold has little toppers, but if yours doesn't, or if you are using the dixie cup method, you can cover each cup or pop section in tin foil and cut a tiny hole in the center. Then, add a Popsicle stick through the slit and into the strawberry/chocolate mixture. The foil keeps stuff from getting into the pop while in the freezer and it keeps the stick centered and level. 10. Stick it in the freezer and it should set up within a few hours. I usually leave mine freeze over night just to make sure. **** Sometimes I add in a kiwi fruit or 1/2 cup of apple juice when I have those things on hand, but, again, you'd need to add those extra calories on if you do so.
