How Do I Make Amish Boiled Cookies?

Here is how you make Amish Boiled Cookies:

Over medium heat, mix butter, sugar and cocoa; bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla and salt. Mix in oats. Drop by teaspoonfuls (I use a medium size cookie scoop) onto wax paper and allow cookies to stand, unrefrigerated, for 1 hour. Store in airtight container, with wax paper between layers.
