Preheat oven to 375 F Mix together flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt In a separate bowl, combine all but 2 TBSP of the sugar (you will use this at the end) with the butter and mix well Beat the egg and add to the sugar and butter Add the molasses to the mixture Stir in the dry ingredients, a little at a time helps Add the oats and mix well Roll mixture into little balls and place atop a wax paper lined baking sheet.
