I put it in the freezer for about 2 hours and that worked (saved time!).Cream the butter and brown sugar in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add molasses, eggs and ginger. Combine the flours, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a bowl. Gradually add this mixture to the molasses mixture, alternating with the water.Place in fridge or freezer so that the dough can firm up. Drop by rounded teaspoon full onto a greased cookie sheet. I sprinkled sugar on the tops of them before baking.Bake for 10-12 minutes in a pre-heated 350 degree oven. Let cool on racks and transfer to a container for storage.These are soft and moist and made the house smell SO good tonight after baking them!
