How Do I Make Lavender Drop Cookies with Rose icing?

Here is how you make Lavender Drop Cookies with Rose icing:

Cream butter and sugar (I used margarine and it turned out just fine). Set aside to chill. In a food processor, coffee bean grinder, or with mortar & pestle grind up the flaxseed, lavender and oats until fine. Add to the rest of the dry ingredients. Word the dry into the butter/sugar mix, adding egg whites.Drop in regular sizes (about 1 tbsp's worth) onto a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 15 minutes (or until begins to brown). Let the cookies cool before icing. The icing can be mixed up with just a spoon, but for stiffer and thicker icing use an egg white with the rose water. This will, however, require more powdered sugar and make a ton of icing (which isn't necessarily bad!!) The nutrition information is based on how much icing goes on each cookie. You will likely have leftover icing. You can experiment with food coloring if you like, but I found the clean look of the cookies to be pleasing. I might add chopped edible rose petals if I were so inclined :)Number of Servings: 35Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user AUBRAZILLA.
