Deb El Just Whotes 100% dried egg whites - 3 tbsp
1/2 cup powdered sugar ( I used C&H confectioners powdered sugar)
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c warm water
parchment paper & cookie sheets


How Do I Make Meringue Cookies - Deb El Just Whites receipe?

Here is how you make Meringue Cookies - Deb El Just Whites receipe:

(Note: these instructions were copied nearly verbatim from the outside lable of the Deb El Just Whites product).Preheat oven to 225 degrees & line a cookie sheet with baking parchment. Add Just Whites to the water & break up slightly with a fork. Let stand for 2 minutes. Beat on medium speed until the Just Whites have dissolved and the mixture is frothy. Add vanilla & cream of tartar. Increase speed up to high & continue to beat, adding the sugar a tablespoon at a time, until very stiff peaks form. Spoon large dollops of the mixture onto the cookie sheet, leaving galf an inch between each, & bake for about 2 hours, turning the pan about half way through, until firm & crisp. If desired, cool in the oven with the door ajar for maximum crispness, or cool on a rack. Store in an airtight container.A little hard to detemine how many cookies this recipe yields--much of it depends on how consistent is the size of your dollopw when spooning out the mixture onto the sheets....I made 18 cookies this time.Number of Servings: 18Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user JILLANA11.
