Granulated Sugar, 1/2 cup
Light Brown Sugar, 1/4 cup, packed

*Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched, 2 cup
Baking Soda, 2 tsp
Salt, 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp
Cloves, ground, 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg, ground, 1/4 tsp
Ginger, ground, 1/2 tsp

Sparkling Sugar 1/2 cup

Preheat Oven to 375. Yields 36 Cookiesmake margarine fluffy by beating with an electric mixer for several minutes. Add in sugars and cream well. mix in molasses, mix well. in a seperate bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt. in a small dish mix together all the spices. Blend spice mix into wet ingridents, mix well. gradually add in flour mix. mix well. chill dough in refirgerator for an hour. scoop out dough or drop from teaspoons place about 2-3 inches apart these cookies spread out well, on lightly greased cookie sheets. if you scoop out you can roll lightly in sparkling sugar before putting on cookie sheets. bake for about 8-10 minutes until a rich brown color. cool on wire racks. cookies store well and stay chewy in air tight containers.
